Subaru Share The Love Event 2020

Open Road President Michael Morais, and Open Road CEO W. Rodman Ryan present their donation at Morristown Medical Center.

- Morristown, 2020

Our thoughts multiply. It happened the past 2 years at Open Road Subaru in Union when helping pediatric patients became paramount. With every car purchased from November 15 through January 2, Subaru of America once again set aside $250 toward its annual Share the Love campaign, with Goryeb Children’s Hospital named as the beneficiary.

The outcome once again? A check for $49,137 was hand delivered to Michael Morris, president of Open Road Auto Group to Walter Rosenfeld, MD, chair of pediatrics, this past spring. W.Rodman Ryan, CEO of Open Road and a Foundation trustee, got in on the act. For the second year in a row, a $50,836 matching gift from the Open Road Auto Group brought the donation to $100,000, showing once again that the more you give, the more it grows.

The 2018 JDRF One Walk

Open Road President Michael Morais, Team Captain Mike Desantis and family at Sunday's event.

- Succasunna, October 14, 2018

Team Open Road participated in a walk to help put an end to end type 1 diabetes (T1D).

When you have T1D, your body stops producing insulin: a hormone essential to turning food into energy. Managing the disease is a constant struggle that involves monitoring your blood-sugar level, administering insulin, and carefully balancing these insulin doses with your eating and activity just to stay alive.

With T1D there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.

JDRF works tirelessly to find better treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications through critical research. Every dollar they are able to direct toward this research comes from donors like you and team efforts such as this.
