Subaru allows participating dealerships to donate to one of 4 national charities like The ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels, and The National Park Foundation or local charities. Subaru has helped donate to over 2,100 hometown charities, one being the Foundation For Morristown Medical Center with the help of Open Road Auto Group. Volvo Edison is Nearly Complete!
As Volvo Edison’s construction begins to come to a close, our staff was able to hold their annual Christmas party in the new showroom. The newly renovated building features enormous windows, letting in tons of natural light accented by natural materials and modern design throughout. The impressive room was the prefect venue for our holiday festivities and an awesome way to introduce the space to the group. After months of working out of a construction zone, Volvo Edison’s staff will soon have a spacious area to show vehicles to our valued customers. Open Road Auto Group is proud to offer a premium experience to our mny customers and invite you to enjoy this space with us. Open Road Auto Group loves Halloween! This year we held an employee contest to see who has the best costume over a few categories. We voted on, best employee costume, best manager’s costume, best team costume, and best specialty costume. We loved seeing everyones enthusiasm, the spirit of halloween is alive and well at Open Road Auto Group’s many facilities! The competition was fierce with so many awesome costumes worn around the group, making this a tough decision for everyone who voted. Open Road Celebrates 50 Years
This year Open Road Auto Group is celebrating 50 years of business. Open Road currently owns and operates over twenty five (25) automotive facilities including nineteen (19) dealerships throughout the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area representing Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Subaru, Volvo and Volkswagen. Open Road has solidified itself as one of the top car dealerships in the tri-state area.
Founded by Rod Ryan in 1972, Open Road has adapted through the years to give customers an automotive experience of a lifetime. With President Michael Morais at the helm, the company continues to expand and maintain a dominant presence in the auto industry. Both of their commitment to excellence, has earned Open Road the ranking of 15th largest automotive group in the nation by the Automotive News. Amidst thriving in the auto industry, Open Road has given back to the community through numerous charitable events like the Essex Horse Trials, JDRF One Walk, Honda Community Day, Christmas Toy Drive, and many more events that give back to the community to help others in need.
Open Road employs over 1,500 workers and continues to search for ways to improve the brand. They have many projects in the works including the renovation of multiple dealerships. BMW, Mazda, MINI, and Volvo have all gotten upgrades for their respective facilities recently. There are also future plans to also upgrade their Volkswagen dealership in Bridgewater, as Open Road looks to continue reinventing itself while holding its status as the top dog in the tri-state area.
Moorland Farms Flurry 2022
The 3rd running of The Flurry at Mooreland Farms shooting competition was held on May 19th at the historic Moorland Farms, Proudly sponsored by Rodman Ryan and Michael Morais of The Open Road Auto Group. 200 Shooters from around New Jersey and its neighboring states came out for the event that benefited the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center. The firearm of choice for this event was a break open style shotgun. The day began on a misty morning, as all the shooters gathered for the morning's safety meeting. The Event consisted of teams moving about the farm to different stations where clay bird throwing devices were staged. Teams worked to knock down as many clay birds as possible over the course of a couple sessions throughout the day. After a lunch break, provided by Dan's Backyard BBQ, the second group of shooters took positions for their turn at the clay birds. The team that allowed the least amount of clays to pass the firing line was crowned the winner. Thousands were raised for the benefit of Monmouth Medical by the different teams and sponsors. Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Flurry! Open Road Auto Group is proud to title sponsor this event in collaboration with Decisive Point, VOLLERS and a number of other generous sponsors. We would also like to thank our volunteers for coming out and keeping the event moving as well as Mooreland Farms for hosting a fun and safe event on their historic grounds. The AIM award (Achievement in Motoring) was presented to Mini of Edison and Mini of Morristown employees. Mazda Morristown Facility Updates
Mazda Morristown's new state of the art facility is aiming to make a drastic change to the customer experience. Mazda seeks to transform the dealership experience with its new retail evolution and brand identity shift. Using an open floor plan and upscale design Mazda’s Morristown's goal is to increase business transparency and make the customer feel more at home. Showrooms and lounges clad in genuine wood and metal materials will give our customers a premium experience not seen at other dealers targeting a similar demographic. Mercedes-Benz EQS
The all electric Mercedes-Benz EQS is the newest and most luxurious electric vehicle to be released to the market.
